This is our last weekend of Park Operations and the Halloween Haunt continues. We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 7pm to Midnight, we also have a kids event Saturday and Sunday from 10am to so come on out to one of these great events and get scared or have a great time with your kids.
As we finish up this season and look back at the successes we have had and the challenges I would have to say we did alright. I am not happy with the new Rice Bowl area and I need to find something else to go at this location that compliment the current menu. The Roadside Cafe is another area that we wanted to change this year but had some issues going into the season that kept it the same, so I think we did not focus on the success of this location as much as we should have and now this gives us a good excus to do the changes we want. We are looking at a new concept but still keeping it family oriented as well as watching the price point since it is just outside our kids area. Also with Planet Snoopy moving into the park we have a lot of planning in the kids area for next year.
So all you people that ask me what do you do when the park closes? I think what I said above will keep us busy well into the spring, then it is hiring, training and opening! The circle of life all over again.
But back to this time of year and a little review of the Haunt. I have not been into every maze, but I have listened to what people say around the park and here is a little review of each maze.
Dead Awakening has become FANGS
A great live show with funny comics, good singers and terrice costumes.
Kigdom of Carnage
A returning maze that really scares you and is well laid out
Red Beards Rage
One of the best mazes in the park, scary pirates and gold to be found in this maze, but watch out for the giant squid!
This year Mother Noose has been turned into one of our 2 3D mazes, you can purchase your glasses for only $1.00 outside the entrance, and boy are they worth it, a little scary for your typical fairy tale, but lots of fun.
Clowns At Midnight
This maze located in the bumber car ride is our second 3D maze, so save your glasses and be prepared to be extra scared this year!
Always a great maze, just watch out for the scarcrow near the end, he is super scary
This is my favourite from last year and well worth the long line up, so don't miss it.
We did a lot of work in this maze this year, even though I went a little over board on my area (they trimed it back) I really like this maze and find it a must visit!
Newly rebuilt this year with a few more scares added in
Slaughter Mill and Massacre Manor are now known as
A Midsummers Night Scare
Both Great to see, but the best one is Club Blodd with 2 different exits, which one will you be invited to go through?
See you at the Haunt and don't get to scared!!!!!
